Accounts Payable Imports, redesigned dashboard and exception detail screens on laptop

AP Imports: Making 60,000+ monthly exceptions manageable for Walmart's accounting teams

Finance teams had quietly abandoned the official tool for spreadsheets. Three rounds of usability testing surfaced a failure pattern the business hadn't seen. The redesign moved satisfaction from 2.69 to 6.14 out of 7 — on a system carrying $1.5B in monthly reconciliation risk.

Sam's Club Merchant Hierarchical Search, retail search interface on laptop

Sam's Club Pricing: Rebuilding merchant trust in a critical decision-making tool

All four concepts failed at the same point — a requirements problem, not a design problem. I brought session recordings to the product team and rewrote the PRD before dev began. The tool shipped at 6.4/7 usability on a platform processing 83M price changes a year.

Finance Data Hub AI, AI insights interface on mobile

Finance Data Hub AI: Designing trust into AI-assisted financial analysis

The challenge wasn't the model — it was making AI recommendations trustworthy enough for finance teams to act on. UX patterns now at 87.5% satisfaction; presented to Doug McMillon's leadership as a model for responsible enterprise AI.

Cox Automotive Command Center navigation framework and IA strategy

Cox Automotive: Navigation Framework for 45,000+ Dealerships

Command Center had features but no coherent IA. I joined mid-project, defined the navigation framework, established governance for how nav decisions get made, and validated the structure before it shipped at NADA — across a platform serving 45,000+ dealerships. In-flight work.

Cox Automotive Dealer Chat, internal messaging tool for dealership staff

Dealer Chat: Communication Design for a Dealer-First Ecosystem

Dealership staff were managing deals over text and personal phones. Designed the membership model, permission system, and core messaging UX for a product with no equivalent reference point in the ecosystem. In-flight work.

How I work

Process that earns trust

  1. Understand the system

Map the full ecosystem — users, stakeholders, data flows, constraints — before touching a wireframe.

  2. Research in context

Contextual inquiry, interviews, and analytics each tell a different story. I triangulate across all three to find what's actually true.

  3. Design with alignment

Stakeholders in early, friction at handoff reduced. Shared ownership is more durable than sign-off.

  4. Measure and learn

Success metrics defined upfront, revisited after launch. Design doesn't end at handoff.

About

Designing for complexity with humanity intact.

Staff UX Designer at Cox Automotive, focused on enterprise data and integration systems. Previously four years at Walmart and Sam's Club — finance, pricing, AI, and talent tools. I do my best work where the stakes are high, the workflows are complex, and the users need someone who will actually listen.

I came up through an apprenticeship, not a degree program — I earned the trajectory. That shapes how I work: thorough preparation, listening for what's unsaid, and designing tools I'd want to be accountable for. I lead with research, speak in business outcomes, and measure what I ship.

What I bring

  • Research-driven Product Definition Moderated usability testing, synthesis, and research that reshapes requirements, not just validates them
  • Complex Enterprise Workflow Design Multi-role workflows, dense data systems, and legacy modernization at enterprise scale
  • Cross-functional Influence Stakeholder alignment, executive communication, and design advocacy without formal authority
  • Design Systems & Delivery Quality Component governance, design-engineering alignment, and handoff practices that reduce drift
  • Accessibility & Inclusive Design WCAG 2.1 compliance, assistive technology testing, and accessibility built into the process
  • Team Enablement & Mentorship Career frameworks, coaching structures, and design culture infrastructure, because strong teams ship better work
  • AI-Augmented Practice Using AI tools to accelerate synthesis, documentation, and ideation, while bringing the strategic thinking and critical review that keeps output trustworthy
